Becky Tucker

Becky Tucker is a Glasgow based artist working primarily in ceramic sculpture. Her works are often described as anachronistic artefacts, exploring the intersection of ceramic tradition, cultural symbolism and the emotional intensity of contemporary life. Drawing from diverse sources including fossils, costume, nature and ancient objects, themes of femininity, hybridity and the surreal inform her research.

Becky has recently been awarded a second grant from the Hope Scott Trust, project funding from Creative Scotland and is recipient of a VACMA bursary.
Selected solo exhibitions include; ‘The Quarry’ Fabian Lang Gallery, Zurich; ‘Umbra’ Steve Turner Gallery, Los Angeles; and ‘Arca’ Five Years, London.
