We have six residency places available for 2023. Please read "further details" below and download the application form to view available dates.
Four of the 2023 placements will be made via open call. These will be jointly agreed upon by the selection panel who this year comprise of:
Domo Baal - Gallerist at DomoBaal
Chantal Powell - Artist and founder of Hogchester Arts
A London based collector (he wishes to remain anonymous)

The Residency Comprises

Free accommodation on the Hogchester site in either Hogchester Cottage (two weeks) or The Yurt (minimum one week, maximum 10 days).

24 hour access to the Hogchester Art Studio, alongside one other resident artist (at certain times of the year) and on site artist Chantal Powell.

24 hour access to the 75 acre private conservation site.

Food and transport are not included. Artists have access to studio equipment but are to provide their own materials.

We are unfortunately unable to accommodate children at this time.
Residency Requirements

The artist will reside on site at Hogchester for the duration of their residency.

Resident artists consent to have a profile page on the Hogchester Arts website and agree to provide a summary of their time at Hogchester for the page. Residency photo documentation will be shared via social media and in the exhibition.
Selection and Eligibility

6 residency placements are available for 2023. Four placements will be made via open call and two placements by invite.

Contemporary visual artists working in all disciplines may apply.

There is no fee to submit to the open call.
